*La Gasp!!* And here I thought that the conclusion had be reached and finalized. Oh well, I guess we still don't know everything :P
But for serious, they are still trying to come up with a model that explains redshift without unexplaining everything they've explained so far. Right nowt they the options of a) the universe is expanding or b) the mass of everything is changing. Both cause huge problems with the physics models we have right now, and neither really answer the question, "Why does redshift exist?"
Here's my hypothesis: Light is slowing down.
Does it answer the question? Yes
Does it cause huge problems with our physics models? No
Is it really easy to research and test for? Yes
Does it cause evolutionists to have to doubt every date they've ever come up with? Yes
And that is why scientists are bending over backwards and breaking the rules of science to NOT research that possibility.
But hey. You can still learn things from the article :)
