Blog Observation #3

Profundity vs. Entertainment

Interestingly enough, Facebook also inspired the need to be profound, but forced such profundity to be catchy and entertaining. After all, how else could one compete with all the other posts vying  for your super short attention span? While profundity was welcome on the book of faces, entertainment was the focus.

So now I face the perceived need to switch from being a mildly amusing web personality to being a deeply profound web personality. My lack of ability in the first realm makes me wonder if I'll have any skill in the second. If I failed at the first, does that mean I have natural talent in the second? Or does it mean that I'll naturally fail in the second? Only time will tell!
